The Chinese organ Pang Guang is translated as the Urinary Bladder
It is classified as a Fu organ, which is Yang in nature
Its channel is named Foot Tai Yang or Greater Yang

» The Major Functions of the Urinary Bladder include:
• Qi transformation, i.e. transforming and excreting fluids by the power of Qi
• Receives the "dirty" part of fluids after Small Intestine separates them from the "clean" fluids
• Controls the storing of fluid
• Bladder Qi descends

» Relationships of the Bladder:
• The channel is coupled with the Hand Tai Yang Small Intestine channel
• High tide in the channel occurs between the hours 3 to 5 pm
• Its "clock" partner is the Lung (12 hours away)
• Its elemental pair is the Kidney in the Water phase
• their color is Black
• Their season is Winter
• The direction from which its influence comes is the North
• Its climate is Cold
• Its power is that of Storage - Hibernation - Dormancy - Death
• Its flavor is Salty
• Its odor is Putrid

» Expressions of the Bladder:
• The Bladder, and Kidney, controls the sense of Hearing through its sense organ, the Ear
• The body part or tissue it controls is Bones and Teeth
• The body fluid it secretes is Parotid Saliva

• When the Bladder, and Kidney, is out of balance - Pain - discomfort or abnormal sensations are commonly experienced and reported in the Low Back
