signs and symptoms: Tend to be thin, have flushed cheeks, suffer from insomnia, heart palpitations, agitation, dizziness, and ringing in the ears; they may also suffer from low back pain, bed-wetting at night, and night sweats.
tongue and pulse:Red tongue with diminished fur or a pale tongue with a red tip; fine and rapid pulses.
indications:Yin Xu (Deficiency) with Yang hyperactivity, to supplement the Kidney and enrich Yin, subdue Yang and quiet the Shen (Mind). With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as ADD, hyperactivity, insomnia, night crying of children, night sweats, dizziness, heart palpitations.
