starving the tumor
psychospiritual approaches
definition
image: Imagine there is a control room somewhere in your brain. This room contains the valves that regulate blood flow throughout your body. See the details of the pipes ending in the control room. Find the large shutoff valve or faucet that controls the flow of blood to the tumor. When you find the correct faucet, notice how big it is, the color and texture, and what kind of wheel or handle it has to turn. Grasp the handle with both hands and turn it clockwise to turn it down a trickle, allowing the white blood cells to go through the lymph and intercellular fluid. They will find the starving, weakened cancer cells even easier to remove now that you have shut down tumor supply lines. You can imagine electronic controls with buttons and switches; or imagine reaching down into the body with tiny, but immensely strong hands and squeezing supply vessels to constrict them, or bend them into a kink and wrap it with strong twine. Tell yourself, " I'm shutting off the blood supply to my tumor. I'm starving the tumor. The tumor is dying of starvation. My cancer is shriveling and shrinking". (Fanning, p. 259)
Melting cancer cells with love rather than hunting and killing (S. Levine); using images from nature (birds pecking at seeds, transformation of matter) rather that the Pentagon. (Serinus, p. 210)
