Ayurvedic nutritional guidelines:

»
in the morning eat seeds, cereals
» in the afternoon, increase juices and foods with more liquid content; tea, yogurt, and fruit (except bananas)
» In the evening eat light and easily digested foods; avoid citrus foods, acidic foods since they stimulate urination and thin the semen. Eat soups, boiled vegetables, yeast bread, beans, greens, papaya, warm milk, pulpy foods. Avoid yogurt and rice, root foods, high protein foods, fried foods, and spicy food. Bachelors should avoid all hot and spicy food after dark.
» Never eat before sunrise or after sunset. If you must eat after sunset, avoid sour and acidic foods.
» eat when right nostril is open; drink only when left is operating
» eat or drink only when sitting
» do not talk during eating
» never drink too hot nor too cold
» do not mix hot and cold temperatures in same meal
» eat only when hungry
» do not eat facing south, eat facing east
» eat fresh foods; reheated and canned foods cause gas
» do not eat too fast or too slow
» laugh after meals, it helps digestion
» do not sleep within 2 hours after meals
» avoid physical or mental activity for 2-3 hours after full meal
» urinate after eating, but do not defecate for 3 hours (Do not eat before normal bowel movement).
» do not eat milk with the following foods: banana, green squash, lemon, oil radish, slat, sesame candy, and yogurt
» do not mix yogurt with banana, milk, hot tea, or hot foods
» do not mix honey and hot foods above 160º F, and not with radish
