definition

image: Close your eyes. Breathe in and out three times. Let yourself imagine what it might be like to enter into your imagination and then smile with pleasure, when you discover, that by doing just that, you already have. In your imagination, find yourself standing in a small meadow full of spiky, uncomfortable plants. Let yourself be aware of just how much you dislike these prickly things and how anxious they make you feel. Examine these plants carefully. Discover that they are thistle and that their flowers are filled with a fine down-like tiny white feathers. Blow gently upon the thistle down and watch it jump quickly into air currents that waft each fluffy particle quietly away. Notice how this magical little action, lets you feel good, both powerful and light. Go now from flower to flower, blowing away the thistle down, until all of your anxiety and discomfort has been blown lightly but firmly away. Take a moment to enjoy the feeling of freedom that this gives you, then allow your eyes to slowly open once again. (Chavez)
