drainage remedies
homeopathy
definition
Drainage remedies are given to help detoxification through natural channels. They are prescribed according to the law of similars and assist the elimination of organic toxins through natural channels. Thus they prepare the organism for the action of the properly prescribed constitutional remedy.
The choice of the drainage remedy is strictly determined by materia medica and so must correspond by its exact similarity to the transient symptoms of the actual state of the affection in progress. The remedy should be chosen after the appropriate clinical examination, the appropriate homeopathic questions and must in some way be "complementary" to the constitutional remedy.
The drainage remedies are divided into 3 categories: the organo-therapeutic remedies, remedies adopted to constitutional remedies and the hormono-therapeutic remedies.
The remedies are given once or twice a day in low potency (1x-3x).
