dietary guidelines

therapeutic foods:
• foods that harmonize the Stomach and Spleen

specific remedies:
• boil together for 10 minutes: l0 fl oz. milk, l fl oz. ginger juice, l oz. raw brown sugar and drink while hot (Butt and Bloomfield, p. 137)
• mix l fl oz. ginger juice and l oz honey and drink twice daily (Butt and Bloomfield, p. 137)
• grind cloves and persimmon calyx into powder, take 2 g each time in water twice daily
(Lu, p. 52)
• combine 2 g cloves, 3 g persimmon calyx, 3 g ginseng, and 2 g dried ginger and boil; divide into 2 dosages and drink in 1 day (Lu, p. 52)
• crush together fresh radish and ginger, strain the juice and add honey. Dilute with hot water and drink (Chao-liang, Qing-rong, Bao-zhen, p. 12)
• simmer together 6 g fresh ginger and 10 pieces persimmon calyx (Chao-liang, Qing-rong, Bao-zhen, p. 83)
