» clinical manifestations: soreness in muscles and joints; pain which shifts locations; pain which varies in intensity; limited range of motion; local heat and chills; chronic Wind Bi may adversely affect the Heart

» note: also known as Wandering Bi

» etiology: exposure to stressful climatic stresses, esp. wind

signs and symptoms

» signs and symptoms:

• rheumatoid arthritis

• polymyalgia rheumatica

• gouty arthritis

» pulse: tight, rapid, superficial

» tongue: base variable; coating usually thin, sticky and white

course and prognosis

» principle of treatment: disperse Wind; invigorate Qi and Xue (Blood)

» therapeutic note: local tender points along course of affected channels
