signs and symptoms: Nasal congestion, difficult breathing, profuse nasal discharge, loss of smell, and headache.
tongue and pulse: white tongue coating, with floating and tight pulse.
indications: Wind-Cold. With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as nasal sinusitis, chronic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, and accessory nasal sinuses.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 6 grams: magnolia flower (xin yi), ligusticum root (gao ben), siler (fang feng), angelica (bai zhi), cnidium (chuan xiong), cimicifuga (sheng ma), akebia (mu tong).
» 3 grams: asarum (xi xin), licorice (gan cao).
