urine isopathy: 24-hour technique
homeopathy

definition

There is a great deal of similarity in concept between the doctrine of isopathy and the doctrine of nosodes. Isopathy seeks out the perfect similar for the homeopathic cure for patient; the nosode seeks the same for the disease process. Bringing of these two goals together in a single isopathic remedy form may be an effective way to use homeopathic curative power in light of a single individual's unique metabolic and pathological condition.

Method: Obtain a 24 hour urine specimen. In the morning, after 24 hours without any intake of medicinal substances collect the second urine of the day and every void thereafter until the next morning, when you collect the first urine only. This isopathic specimen reflects the whole of the physical body as well as the whole range of the body's metabolism. This is true both in terms of a western medical understanding and the understanding of the Chinese medical system.

Prepare a single potency or a composite set of multiple potencies, e.g., 6x, 12x, 30x, 200c, 1M, 10M and 50M. Administer as needed; typically patients taking multiple potency preparations containing 10M or 50M have responded to a single dose.

Note: Only preliminary research has been done on the effects of varying high and low potencies to determine their relative efficacy with regards to this process.

Immediate effects should be rapidly noticeable and changes will continue from 3 - 21 days. When changes cease it is a signal that the remedy is no longer isopathic to the patient and if further change is required proceed as from the beginning.

Note: Two overlapping effects are probably at work in traditional urine therapy where ingestion of physical urine is prescribed. The first seems to be isopathic, equivalent to taking a mother tincture in homeopathy. The second, after considerable time and improvement of the patient, is a nutritive effect. The twenty-four hour urine technique above is aimed specifically at reproducing and vastly improving the first of these two effects, but has no nutritive effect.
