signs and symptoms: Generalized aches and pains, diaphragm pain, numbness in the arms and legs, cold sensation in the back, lumps in the neck and shoulders, depression.
tongue and pulse: Deep, slippery pulse.
indications: Damp-Phlegm in the Channels. With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as swollen lymph glands, shoulder stiffness, intercostal neuralgia, muscular rheumatism, gastric distention, and chest pain.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 6 grams: arisaema (tian nan xing), pinellia (ban xia), poria (fu ling), brassica (bai jie zi), red atractylodes (cang zhu), notopterygium (qiang huo), angelica (bai zhi), scute (huang qin), bamboo sap (zhu li).
» 3 grams: fresh ginger (sheng jiang), licorice (gan cao).
