Cinnamon and Persica C. = Che Tsung Yin.

signs and symptoms: Lower abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, uterine fibroid tumors.
tongue and pulse: Purple or pale with purple spots tongue body, wiry or knotted pulse.
indications: Xue Yu (Blood Stasis). With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as menstrual irregularities, peritonitis, uterine inflammation, ovaritis, and miscarriage or spontaneous abortion.
cautions and contraindications: Do not use less than three days prior to or during menstruation.
ingredients: dosage for one day:
» 5 grams: Chinese angelica (tang kuei) (dang gui), persica (tao ren).
» 3 grams: moutan bark (mu dan pi), cnidium (chuan xiong), cinnamon twig (gui zhi), white peony (bai shao yao).
» 1 gram: carthamus (hong hua).
