• ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour mixture: spelt, oat, barley or other well-tolerated grain
1 cup oil
1/4 cup nut, rice or soy milk
1/2 tsp. salt

• method:
1. Combine dry ingredients and moist ingredients separately. Then mix the moist ingredients into the dry ingredients.
2. Knead the dough.
3. Press into shape over base of the pie tin. Add pie filling of your choice.
4. Bake at 400° F for 15 minutes and then a further 30 minutes at 350° F or until filling is cooked.

• variation: Increase mixture and crumble the remainder on top of pie. Include 1/2 cup ground nuts in flour mixture.
