blue (promotes relaxation; lowers high temperatures and reduces inflamed tissue) and indigo (an astringent, antipyic, antiemetic, and hemostatic; acts as a general sedative) on area until pain subsides and crust forms (extended treatment time may be useful in some cases), then:
turquoise (an acute alterative; tonifies skin; acts as an antipyretic) on whole body
green on area
scarlet (a stimulant to the kidney and adrenals) on kidneys if their function is affected
indigo may be continued on area if exudation is excessive short wavelength radiation (ultra-violet, x-ray) with definite fever
ultra-green (turquoise, blue, indigo, or violet) on whole body
