Pteropus and Lindera C. = Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang = "Drive Out Blood Stasis Below the Diaphragm Decoction"

signs and symptoms: Abdominal pain and masses, stabbing hypochondriac pain, constipation, irritability, indigestion.
tongue and pulse: Purple tongue with spots on the sides, wiry and hesitant pulse.
indications: Xue Yu (Blood Stasis) and Liver Qi Stagnation Below the Diaphragm. With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as hypochondriac pain, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, breast distention, and abdominal tumors.
cautions and contraindications: Contraindicated during pregnancy, in women with excessive menstrual bleeding, and in cases with bleeding diathesis or any active hemorrhagic disorder.
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 6 grams: Chinese angelica (tang kuei) (dang gui), cnidium (chuang xiong), persica (tao ren), carthamus (hong hua), pteropus (wu ling zhi), lindera (wu yao), red peony (chi shao yao), moutan bark (mu dan pi).
» 3 grams: corydalis (yan hu suo), cyperus (xiang fu), chih-ko (zhi ke).
» 1 gram: licorice (gan cao).
