signs and symptoms: Hair loss, premature graying, loose teeth, spontaneous or nocturnal emissions, low back and knee soreness and weakness.
tongue and pulse:
indications: Liver Xue Xu (Blood Deficiency) and Kidney Yin Xu (Deficiency).
cautions and contraindications: Use with caution (if at all) in patients with Spleen Xu (Deficiency).
ingredients:
» 300 grams: fleeceflower root (he shou wu).
» 150 grams: poria (fu ling), achyranthes (niu xi), Chinese angelica (tang kuei) (dang gui), lycium fruit (gou qi zi), cuscuta (tu si zi).
» 120 grams: psoralea (bu gu zhi).
administration: Grind the ingredients into powder and form into 9 gram pills with honey. The normal dosage is one pill in the morning and evening taken with warm, salted water.
