Qing Jing Zhi Xue Tang = "Cool the Menses and Stop Bleeding Decoction"

signs and symptoms: Menorrhagia or uterine bleeding with bright blood, with abrupt onset, irritability, and thirst.
tongue and pulse: red tongue, and slippery, rapid, and forceful pulse.
indications: Hot Xue (Blood) in the Liver Channel, especially due to Xue (Blood) Heat without Yin Xu (Deficiency).
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 30 grams: fresh rehmannia (sheng di huang), imperata (bai mao gen), sanguisorba (di yu).
» 24 grams: Fibra Stipulae Trachycarpi Carbonisatus (zong tan).
» 15 grams: scute (huang qin), stir-fried bulrush pollen (chao pu huang), leonurus (yi mu cao).
» 9 grams: moutan (mu dan pi).
