Mu Alarm point of the Da Chang (Large Intestine)

location: 2 cun lateral to the umbilicus.

note: according to Sun Tzu Miao, this point contains a storehouse of Qi and should not be dispersed (Finkelstein, p. 15)

actions: supports Earth and harmonizes the Center, esp. the Stomach; regulates the Stomach and Spleen; regulates and facilitates the functioning of the Intestines; opens the Qi of the Yang (hollow) organs, including the appendix (Finkelstein, p. 15); regulates the channels and promotes Qi circulation; regulates Qi, esp.
